During my time at the National Film and Television School, I have made several different projects. Each one focusing on a specific aspect of Game Design. I really enjoyed my time there and have built up many connections, having been able to attend events such as Develop, WASD and EGX.

Home Together - Graduation Game
Featured at EGX REZZED 2019
I made this demo in Unity to showcase everything I had learned at NFTS. I focused heavily on my 3D modelling skills within Autodesk Maya. Although it is a 2.5D platformer, it also contains cinematic moments to tell the story. I worked with some really talented people to help me with audio, but largely everything else was managed and made by myself. I had great fun prototyping this and working through it from start to finish. The game itself is based on "The Incredible Journey" and follows a cat and dog that have to work together in order to get home safely. I took inspiration from "Kentucky Route Zero" for the art style. I love the 2.5D art style. My brother Harrison Morgan, helped to create the music for this game. |

Call to Adventure - Collaborative Game
With the lovely Joseph Cunningham, together we made a demo that focuses heavily on narrative. We came up with the idea together, using "Monument Valley" as a reference and delegated what each of us would do. I concentrated on 3D art creation using Maya, as well as the User-Interface and C# scripting for it. Joe focused on the general narrative, scripting, puzzles, VFX and colour scheme. The music was composed by the talented Adam Speck.
The game follows an "NPC" who dreams of becoming an adventurer. Her mind drifts into a space that allows her to go on an adventure with her dog in tow.
Yes you can pet the dog!
- Created with another designer
- Made in Unity
- C# Scripting (Visual Studio) for User-Interface
- Made all 3D assets using Autodesk Maya (apart from Dog)
- Paper prototyping to level design in engine
- Collaborated with others for music and audio
- Pet the dog!

The Chase - Narrative Game
For this project, I had to focus on narrative, writing dialogue and putting together assets from the Unity store to create a scene. I was very lucky to have access to some great voice actors for it. I then focused on making it a more choice based first person demo using C#. I used Mixamo characters and animations.
This game centers around a man waking up on an island, just having survived a ship wreck with memory loss. He is confronted by another angry survivor.

- C# Scripting (Visual Studio)
- Assets acquired from Unity Asset Store
- Characters made using Mixamo
- Cinematics created using timeline
- Level Design and prototyping
- Collaborated with a screen writer and voice actors

Lux Relay - Mobile Game
Using Unity I tried my hand at making a game for mobile/tablet. I love the retro 80s theme so decided to go down that route as I had to make a game that was less demanding for the hardware it would be used on. I made all the 3D assets. I animated the ship to go a specific route, but allowed the player to take over movement from side to side using arrow touch keys. I also used C# to achieve this.
My brother Harrison Morgan composed the synth-wave music.

Evolution - Coding Game
Focusing heavily on C# scripting for Unity, I had to put together a game that took scoring into account. In this case collecting so many points and avoiding hazards allowed you to "evolve." This game can also be used for educational purposes as it teaches about evolution! Most assets were found on the Unity store, as coding was the focus here.

Scrap - 3D Asset Game
For Scrap, we were put into a team of 6 to each learn how to make 3D assets on Autodesk Maya and import them into the game. We also learned the basics of C# code to make the game run.
I was responsible for the kitchen/bathroom part of the project, as well as the general UI. Overall it was an amazing experience on how best to also work together in a team on a game.
This game is set within a space station that needed to be turned off before being scrapped for parts. An AI talks to you to beg you to not terminate her.
